My name is Shari Crouch. This is my 16th year at South Harrison! I have taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. I love teaching ELA and being part of a 4th grade team that includes Mrs. Tranz (Math), and Mrs. Sinor (Sp.Ed).

I graduated from Grove City College with a Bachelor's Degree in both Business Administration and Communication Arts many moons ago. :) I also hold a Master's Degree from Wilmington University in Elementary Education with certification in K-4, as well as ELA & Social Studies (grades 5-8). Most importantly, I have lots of real-life experience with both giftedness and learning disabilities within my own family.

I have two adult sons, Noah and Hayden. This past year has been a time for us to try some new experiences. Our family has grown to include two dogs, labrador retrievers named Peace and Joy! We also moved to Pennsville, NJ on the Delaware River.

My students have always been an extension of my role as Mom. I have a strong commitment to teaching the whole child: academically, physically, emotionally, and socially. We will celebrate everyone's growth no matter how big or small. I promise each child on the first day of school that I will teach, play, listen, discipline, and keep them safe because that's what I do for my own kids. Professionally, I also enjoy mentoring new teachers, writing curriculum, and playing piano for the South Harrison Chorus. If you've never met me, I can tell you that I love hands-on learning. Music, games, and hand motions are typically part of our classroom.

I can't wait to meet you in September!
