Algebra II:

This course is designed to build on algebraic and geometric concepts.  It develops advanced algebra skills such as systems of equations, advanced polynomials, imaginary and complex numbers, quadratics, and concepts and includes the study of trigonometric functions.  It also introduces matrices and their properties.  The content of this course are important for students’ success on both the ACT and college mathematics entrance exams.  Students who complete Algebra II should take Algebra 3 or Advanced Math/Pre-Calculus next.

Algebra III:

This course is meant to prepare students for higher level math courses such as College Algebra.  We will review many of the concepts from Algebra II while working to build strong thinking and reasoning skills which are necessary to survival not only in college, but also in most careers.   Looking at how these concepts can be used in the world outside the classroom will allow students to gain a better appreciation for how all of what they have seen so far in math comes together.

Advanced Math/ Pre-Calculus:

This course is only for the most MOTIVATED math student.  It is fast-paced and rigorous.  This course is designed to provide a comprehensive study of functions, which are the basis of calculus and other higher mathematics courses. The students will study the properties and graphs of trigonometric, polynomial, rational, inverse, exponential and logarithmic functions in the first semester. During the second semester, the students will explore inequalities, polar coordinates, complex numbers, conic sections, matrices, vectors, sequences, series, limits, the definition of derivative and intergration.
