Welcome Back!
I look forward to teaching your child English Language Arts this year! Please ask your child what he or she is studying or any new vocabulary words they learned each day. The Daily Folder is where you will find notes that are sent home, as well as any homework that needs to be completed.
Homework: You should expect that your child will have some type of homework/review work from class every day except for Fridays. I encourage you to set up a scheduled time for homework each day. Students should be able to do most assignments independently, but do help if necessary. Please also read with your child as much as possible at home! It will take practice both at home and at school in order for your child to become a fluent reader.
