This year marks my 11th year at Riverdale School.  In 2009 I graduated from The College of St. Elizabeth with a BA in Psychology and Certification as an Elementary Teacher as well as a Special Education Teacher.   This year I will be working with Mrs. Dutkowski as co-adviser of Student Council.  I look forward to the middle school dances! I also can't wait to see what ideas the students have for student council fundraisers this year.  Each year memories are made at school and it is important to capture them, which is why Ms. Corbett and I are continuing to team up as Yearbook advisors.

In my free time, I enjoy going to Broadway shows, traveling with my family, and spending time with my twin sister.  I grew up in the town over, Pompton Lakes, so there is a chance you will see me at a store nearby.  If you happen to say "Miss Caufield" and I look at you strange and act like I don't know you, then you have just encountered the "other Miss Caufield" not YOURS.  Just tell her who you are and I look forward to hearing the story when she arrives home. Also, I just celebrated a year of being a "Dog Mom" to my boy Farley!  He is a 68lb lap dog that gets so excited to see me when I get home. Every day I look forward to my walks with him after school.  He's a big dog, but his favorite toy is this small stuffed squirrel, which I've had to replace many times.

Mission Statement:
These are my hopes as a teacher...
  • To make students excited about learning
  • To teach the child, not the class
  • To teach with the understanding that learning is not one size-fits all
  • To teach students to be caring and responsible individuals
  • To foster an environment in which students feel safe and comfortable
