WELCOME ABOARD as we set SAIL for AN ADVENTURE OF LEARNING. Every CREW MEMBER will SAIL to new HORIZONS this year.  They will gain a WHALE of knowledge while developing good character along the way! CREW MEMBERS will work together to make a great CATCH of discoveries using the NAUTICAL TOOLS provided on our DECK such as our sharp minds, positive attitudes, strong determination, and eager spirits for moving forward along our CHARTERED COURSE for learning. Teaching Experience: 

• Associate of Arts Degree
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education
• Master of Arts Degree in Gifted Education
• This is my 20th year of teaching (10 yrs. at my former school & 10 years here.
• I have teaching experience in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd Grade Gifted classes.

 

Family: 

• Married for 41 years
• Two Adult Children (one girl & one boy)
• 4 Grandchildren (1 boy & 3 girls; ages 10, 11, 13, & 14)

 

Pets:

• One dog, adopted during Diplomat's Pet Food Drive 6 years ago. Her name is Belle and she is just perfect for us.

The bottom line is that I am one who loves education and I love what I do.  I take my responsibilities very seriously.  You will find that I have high expectations for myself, which will also be extended to my students.  If you have any questions or concerns at any time during the school year, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me before/after school hours.  I want you to know that I am absolutely committed to helping your child excel in every way possible as we ANCHOR AWAY towards a great year in second grade and learn to treasure each moment we encounter while on this CRUISE.  It will be a thrilling and exciting year of discovery.  Amazing things are about to happen; so LET THE VOYAGE BEGIN ...
