Your reading and math teacher will probably assign you homework each
night Monday through Thursday. Your teacher will explain the
homework during class. You will have time to write it down in your
assignment pad and your teacher will give you anything extra you
need to do the work at home.
Before you pack up at the end of the day you should check your
assignment pad, folder and backpack to make sure that you have
everything you need to complete your homework.
You will have spelling or handwriting homework each night Monday
Sometimes you will have science or social studies homework. Often
it will be to study for an upcoming test.
No, we don't have snack because there is not enough time.
We eat lunch at 11:55 every day. Please make sure that you eat a
good, healthy breakfast each morning before school.
Have an adult call the main office at 732-321-8777 in the morning to
let us know that you will not be at school.
Decide if you would like your teacher to keep your work for you until
you get back or if you would like it to be sent home with a sibling
or a friend. Your parents can also come and get the work from the
main office at the end of the day.
According to your student handbook, you have as many days as you were
out to make up missed work. In other words, 1 day out = 1 day to
make it up. Ask your teacher for extra time if you need it.
All tests are announced ahead of time and a review sheet or packet is
given out in class.
Test dates are also listed under the homework section of this website. Check with your reading and math teachers for how they announce tests.
When I sign your assignment pad it lets your family know that you
have written down the correct homework.
When an adult signs your assignment pad it lets me know that you
completed your work and that your family knows what kind of work you
are doing at school.
