A little bit of information about me, Kelli Holleran:
I was born in Oklahoma and I lived there until high school. At that time, I moved to New Jersey. I will share a lot of stories with your children about my early life in Oklahoma. I still have family there, and it is a special place to me.
I attended Monmouth University and graduated with a B.S. degree in Special Education / Elementary Education.
Teaching is a loved profession in my family. My father is a retired teacher, my two sisters are teachers, and my husband is also a teacher.
I am beginning my 19th year of teaching, and my 18th year teaching 4th grade at Campbell School. I have loved each year and all of my students. My love of teaching 4th graders grows each school year. I like to change things up in our room each year. I am always trying new strategies and finding ways to enhance our learning environment to make learning as much fun and meaningful as possible. From the first day of school, I will work to help each child feel comfortable in our classroom.
In addition to teaching, I am also the head girls cross country, winter and spring track & field coach at Metuchen High School. This is my 11th year coaching, and I really enjoy helping our girls understand the importance of setting goals and working hard to meet those goals. Nothing is more rewarding than when kids achieve things they couldn't do before hard work.
I love the small, close community of Metuchen. I am so very fortunate to work in such a supportive and caring place!
I strongly believe that our students will be most successful in school and life with support from both home and school. So, I will work to have a close relationship with our families.
