Homework Policy:
Please see your child's folder/notebook for the most up-to-date homework information.
Homework will be posted on the board daily. Students are expected to copy assignments into a notebook. Reading homework will be handed out by the teacher. Students are responsible for making sure they maintain their homework notebooks and folders and turn in their homework assignments on time. Please ensure that your child writes neatly, that their name is on the assignment, and that you check it over when it is complete; even if your child does homework in aftercare.
If an assignment is missing I will send an email or a message on Class Dojo. I do not make copies of lost assignments. A late assignment will receive a reduced grade depending on how late it is and the quality of the work.
Math homework will be assigned nightly. Please practice math facts frequently.
Science and Social Studies homework will be assigned as needed.
Packets may be given for extended school breaks to keep our minds sharp.
If a child is absent on the day an assignment is due the assignment will be due the day the child returns to school. Ample time will be given for students to make up missed class work and homework due to an extended excused absence only. Please refer to the Student Handbook or the school website under “enrollment” for the list of excused absences. Unfortunately, I can not give work in advance of an extended absence.
Please do not plan vacations when school is in session. Unfortunately, as per the student handbook your child will not receive make-up work and will not get credit for work missed, including tests.
