As the middle school Speech-Language Specialist, I am a member of the Child Study Team who conducts speech and language assessments, recommends accommodations, develops IEP goals and objectives, and provides treatment. I work with students to improve: receptive language skills, expressive language skills (i.e. written and verbal), speech fluency, voice, memory skills, social skills, and problem solving/reasoning skills. In addition, I assist hearing impaired students by monitoring hearing aid status and maintaining FM units for classroom usage.
