Welcome to 5th Grade!
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Room 308! My name is Mrs. Torres and I am happy to be your child’s teacher this year. I have been a part of the West New York School District since 2008. Since then I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 4th grade and I am very excited to be a part of the 5th grade team at HLB!
This year I will be your child's Language Arts teacher.
Fifth grade is a pivotal year in your child’s education. They will be learning many new things and making some very important transitions. This year will be a very interesting and challenging school year for all students. Expectations will be high but together we will work to make this year a very successful one. My goal is to have all of my students excel while having a memorable and enjoyable school year.
The 2024-2025 school year will be an exciting learning experience for all of us. To help us be successful, communication and cooperation between home and school will be of utmost importance throughout the school year. Please check my website often and take time to read all the information sent home. I am generally attentive to my email and check it several times a day; email is the quickest and best way to communicate with me at any time.
