QUICK REMINDER.... THE SCHOOL DAY STARTS AT 7:40 AND THE TARDY BELL RINGS AT 7:45.
We have just finished up Unit 2! The students enjoyed creating PowerPoint presentations from their alternate perspective fairy tales. We will begin Unit 3 starting on Monday. This will be the first unit that contains a novel. We will be starting The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton at the end of next week. Students need to treat these books as normal school books. If they are torn, damaged, or lost, students will need to pay to replace the book.
Here are some tips to help your child continue to be successful...
1)Ask your child to "teach" you what they learned today in class.
2) Whenever you ask your child a question, INSIST that they reply to you in a grammatically correct, complete sentence.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS: If your child would like to purchase books there are two ways:
1) Send a CHECK made payable to Scholastic Reading Clubs to school in an envelope with their name and the order form filled out. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH!!!
2) Click on Scholastic on the left hand tab to order online. My activation code is JBWJ8. You can pay online instead of sending a check with your child. Books will be sent to school with the rest of the class' order. If you use the activitation code, you do not pay ANY shippping and your child gets a coupon to purchase more books! The books will be delivered to school with the school orders.
