The goal of English Language Development II is to create continuity between the ELL curriculum and the mainstream content area curriculum. By creating units in math. science, and history, ELL students will be receiving similar content area instruction with the instructional differentiation and specific language objectives needed for ELL academic success.  Therefore, when an ELL transitions into the mainstream classroom, they will have the background knowledge and content area skills similar to their peers and will be better prepared to achieve academic success in Egg Harbor Township High School.

The concepts for each year change, however the curriculum is similar.  The curriculum contains 4 content area units that are differentiated by concept, instructional activities and English language proficiency levels.  This allows for continuity with the themes and instructional skills that are expanded during each grade level while taking into consideration the English language proficiency levels of each student.
