Welcome to Technology Integration with Personal Financial Literacy with Ms. Fairchild

Grades 6-8

Students in grades 6th-8th can participate in digital activites with their subject area teachers in the Technology Integration lab throughout the year.

All students will develop personal financial literacy knowlege. Life skills activities will include: savings, budgeting, banking, credit/debt and career exploration--just to name a few.

Subject area teachers will bring students into the lab to pariticpate in digitial and personal financial literacy lessons.

Parents of 7th/8th Grade Students: you will not see this class/Google Classroom attached to your students' schedule in Infinite Campus.  Again, students will participate in the lab with their various subject area teachers.

They will be asked to join the class on the first contact time.

I have developed a checklist in Google Slides that students will complete at the end of each lesson.

6th Graders will be scheduled for personal financial literacy one marking period rotating through their schedule.

Students make notes about their PFL lessons via a Computer Portfolio in their grade level Google Classroom.

We use many sites aimed at providing middle school students a foundation for personal financial literacy.  Some of the resources are obtained from: Next Generation Personal Finance (Middle School), Better Money Habits for Middle School, and Katrina's Classroom Info-graphics, just to name a few.

I have and will continue to encourage students to discuss these lessons with their parents/guardians.
