English III Honors

The English III curriculum is designed to help students build a thorough foundation in American literature and examine the themes explored in American literature. We will explore the novels, short stories, poetry, and essays of some of the most influential writers and thinkers in American literature.   Students will learn how these writers used the tools of their art--plot, conflict, characterization, figurative language, symbols, and other literary techniques--to create their enduring literature. Students will write frequently and in-depth in response to their reading and class discussion.
