MIDDLE SCHOOL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

     The Middle School Leadership Conference
is sponsored by the Southern Lakes Advanced
Learners
Network.

This year, the conference took place on Thursday,
October 20th at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.

The Leadership Conference is for seventh and
eighth grade middle school students and provides
activities to develop leadership talents and
strengths for students at this age level.
The guest for the morning portion of the conference is
Ardan James who combines magic-type illusion
with mime movement and uses contemporary
music, ventriloquism, and audience participation
to thoroughly entertain the students while they learn.
Ardan has a degree in the medial arts and education.
He has been studying the art of mime and performing
since his teen years. His performance includes
professionally mixed soundtrack, audience participation,
comedy, magic illusions, and ventriloquism.
In the afternoon, students participate in a variety
of group activities where they have the
opportunity to learn and put leadership
and communication skills into action.
