Hello Readers & Writers~
We are midway through our final marking period of 6th grade as we begin week 7 of "at-home learning". Many of you need to do some "catching up" to help improve your grades. Please use this week to do so, and contact me for help in prioritizing your assignments.
Our new work this week includes:
- Vocabulary Unit 14- pages 176-178 (intro.), synonyms on p. 180 and the "50/50" activity on pgs. 179-180. We will go over these at our weekly Zoom meeting on Tuesday.
- "Penguin Census" from Time for Kids and video accompanied by activity to complete. You can find this assignment, which is due on Thursday, on Teams.
- Continue reading Hoot- we should complete chapter 9 this week and will be talking about the characters, plot and conflict at our class meeting.
On Friday, we will participate in "Virtual Field Day" activities, so there will be no new assignments. Please continue to work on your research pieces. Also, are you reading anything new? Please continue to devote some time to independent reading. I will post a Read 'N Quiz monitor code on Thursday.
See you soon!
