The Dream Keeper

Bring me all of your dreams,

You dreamers,

Bring me all of your

Heart melodies

That I may wrap them

In a blue cloud cloth

Away from the too-rough fingers

Of the world.

      ~Langston Hughes

Youth

We have tomorrow

Bright before us

Like a flame.

Yesterday

A night-gone thing,

A sun-down name.

And dawn-today

Broad arch above the road we came.

We march!

~Langston Hughes

       June

The sun is rich

     And gladly pays

In golden hours,

     Silver days,

And long green weeks

     That never end.

School's out.  The time

     Is ours to spend.

There's Little League

     Hopscotch, the creek,

And, after supper,

     Hide-and-Seek.

The live-long light

     Is like a dream,

And freckles come

     Like flies to cream.
