We realize that the future job market will consist of technologically advanced jobs. To help our students develop the technological skills needed for the future, every student has access to a wireless laptops, Netbooks, or desktop computers all with Internet access in their classroom. Additionally, the technology coordinator and educational media technology specialist work with small groups of students to infuse technology into their daily lessons. Each classroom is equipped with a flat screen TV and VCR/DVD. Each grade level has access to an interactive Smart board and document cameras. In addition, our students visit the school library/media center regularly so that they can develop real research skills, along with a love for reading.
The school has a closed circuit TV studio used daily for school news and special events. Instruction in the arts is provided to assure a well-rounded education. We offer our students vocal music, instrumental music and art lessons provided by specialists in these fields. The world language teacher provides Spanish instruction to all students. Comprehensive health and physical education is offered to help every youth be physically fit. Among the clubs offered after school are golf, drama, choir, swimming, art and instrumental music.
The Second Cup of Coffee and PTA (Parent Teachers Association) are only a few vehicles used to keep our parents informed and involved in the school.
