As the high school speech language specialist, I am a member of the Child Study Team
who conducts speech and language assessments, recommends accommodations, develops IEP goals and objectives, and provides treatment.  I work with students to improve: receptive  language skills, expressive language skills, speech fluency, voice, memory skills, social skills, and problem solving/reasoning skills.  I also teach non-verbal students to achieve improved self-expression through the use of augmentative and alternative communication systems. In addition, I assist hearing impaired students by monitoring hearing aid status and maintaining FM units for classroom usage.

At the high school, students who receive speech language services are issued student
passes during their homeroom periods to remind them of their appointment days/times.

During distance learning, invitations to scheduled Google Meets are sent

to student email addresses in advance.
