PHYSICAL EDUCATION JEWELRY PROCEDURE

Due to health and safety reasons, students will not be permitted to wear rings, watches, necklaces, earrings, and other items of jewelry during class. It is the responsibility of the students to secure their personal belongings, including jewelry. The Health & Physical Education Staff and the school will not be responsible for the security of student belongings.

Students who have had their body parts recently pierced and wish to wear studded earrings (no hoops) must give the teacher a note from the agency that performed the piercing, indicating the date the piercing was done. The student will have four weeks to cover the piercing with tape/band-aids. It will be the student’s responsibility to provide the tape/band-aid to cover the areas. During this four week period it is up to the teachers discretion to not allow students with piercing to participate in any activities where the piercing may be dangerous. After four weeks the student will be expected to remove the jewelry for Physical Education, and no excuses will be accepted! A doctor’s note will be required if any extension time is needed.

Intramurals

We have three Intramural Sports throughout the year. We start with Mat Ball in the fall, Weight Training during the winter, and Floor Hockey in the spring. Every student must have a current physical from their primary doctor filled out and handed into the school in order to be cleared to play any of the Intramural Sports. Physical forms are found at the main office.
