Dear Parents and Students,

   

   Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am looking forward to getting to know each one of my new students- it's going to be an exciting year full of new adventures and discoveries. In my classroom I strive to create an atmosphere where the students feel comfortable in taking chances and taking risks, which is always essential for learning. My ultimate goal is to see your child reach his or her full potential. However, I cannot do this alone. To be fully successful students need not only support from their teacher, but from their parents or guardians as well. This means showing an interest in what they do in school, taking a few minutes to go over their homework, or listening to them read from their library book or reading text. These actions show your child how highly you value education. It also shows them that teachers and parents are partners in their education. Above all, please know that my door is always open. If you feel the need to speak to me concerning your child, please do not hesitate to contact me. Good communication between the school and the home is important. You can send a note to me, call the office and leave a message, or email me at the address at the bottom of this page. Anything that concerns you about your child could affect his or her ability to learn and, therefore, affects me as well.

*10/31- Costume Parade, flyer sent home with info

*11/1- Quarter 1 Report Cards go home

*11/9- Picture Retake Day

*11/11- Hurricane Make-up- there WILL be school!

*11/16- 2nd Quarter Interims

*11/21-11/25- Thanksgiving Break
