Important Dahlonega Field Trip Information:


  • Students may begin arriving at Awtrey Middle School at 6:30 AM and should be dropped off in the bus port.
  • Teachers will take roll on tehe bus at 6:50 AM.  Busses will leave at 7:00 AM PROMPTLY, NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Students are to wear school appropriate clothing, closed toe shoes, and bring a jacket.
  • Lunch is included and consists of 2-3 slices of either cheese or pepperoni pizza (student choice), a soft drink, and a dessert cake.
  • **If your child does not want or cannot eat this lunch, please  provide him or her with a sack lunch (no coolers are allowed)

  • Per the bus company:  Students may bring snacks on the bus:
  • *All drinks must have a lid and be in a plastic container
  • *NO peanut or nut products
  • *NO gum or small candies 

  • Busses will be arriving back at Awtrey between 6:00 and 6:30
  • Parents should be at Awtrey NO LATER THAN 6:00 to pick up your child
  • Please park in the front of the building to allow room for the busses to park and unload the students.  You will need to walk to the bus port to meet and pick up your child.

12 Week Progress Report Sent Home Today (11/4)!


 Argumentative Essays are due in all ELA classes on Monday, October 31st at the beginning of class.


1.  The final must be typed or in ink.

2.  All parts of the writing process must be turned in with the final.
