Hello Parents and Students,
Welcome to 7th grade ELA at West St. John Elementary
I am none other than Deedra Martin Spurlock. It is with great enthusiasm that I am your child's ELA teacher for the 2022/2023 school year. I look forward to an awesome year in teaching lessons from the Guidebooks Imagine Learning Curriculum to my students. I served as the ELA teacher for the majority of my students last year. That being the case, I am confident that my students are already in tune with the routines, procedures, and expectations of my classroom. This is regarded as a plus, because my students do not have to lose time getting into content learning of the 7th grade ELA Curriculum. They are ready to take on the tasks and challenges of the beginning unit's lessons. I look forward to another great year of working with and learning from my students. I also look forward to being the "Producer" of a class of students who will give an outstanding ending "Performance" of the skills that were developed as 7th grade ELA student learners.
