Dear Second Graders and Families,
Welcome to Second Grade! I hope that you have enjoyed your time off this summer. I had a very busy summer doing my absolute favorite thing to do, travel! This summer I went to Mexcio with my husband and daughter. I went to New Mexico with my dad, my aunt and my cousin. I drove to Florida with my son to take him to college. Yesterday, I just got home from my trip to Saint Thomas with my husband. I hope you like pictures because I will be sharing a lot of them when I see you in September!
I live with my husband and three kids. My oldest son Colin recently graduated college. My other son Drew goes to school in Florida and my daughter goes to school in Ohio. I will also be sharing lots of pictures of my beagle, Ruby! I am looking forward to seeing all of you and learning more about you as we spend the year in Second Grade together!
The second grade teachers would like to suggest a few items that would be helpful for the upcoming year. Please see the list of supplies on the menu to the left. Please label all supplies with your child's first and last name for when we return to school.

1 box of 24 crayons

1 pack 12 colored pencils

4 black dry erase markers

2 large glue sticks

1 pair of child-safe scissors

1 box sharpened wooden pencils

1 pencil sharpener - should catch the shavings

1 pair of over the head headphones (not wireless) in a labeled bag

1 folder to be used to take home and return to school

1 marble notebook, wide ruled (at least 100 pages)
