Dear Incoming Fourth Grader,

I am looking forward to seeing you Tuesday, September 2nd.  I know we are going to have a great year together! 

 

Please let me begin by telling you a little about myself.  I have enjoyed being  a teacher for many years.  I have been a  kindergarten, first grade, second grade, fourth grade, second grade AI, third grade AI, fourth grade AI teacher, and even a school librarian!  I love to read, swim, play tennis, walk, go to the beach, and garden.

 

My husband and I have two wonderful children.  Our daughter, Isabelle is a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in orthopedics. Our son Samuel is currently attending medical school.  He is studying to become a surgeon.  We have a 4 1/2 year old dog named Finn and several fish.

One of my favorite places to visit all year long is my local library.  I love to read all types of books!  I do, however, have a favorite genre which happens to be historical fiction.  Although I have found myself enjoying several mysteries this summer.  What types of books do you like to read? 

 

Please bring a book you are currently enjoying or an old favorite to school on the very first day.  Be prepared to share the title, author's name, genre, and why you like this book with your classmates.
