August 2021

Dear Kindergarten Friends,

My name is Mrs. Baliko and I am happy to write that I will be your Kindergarten teacher this year. I am so excited that you are in my class! I am anxious to get to know you and your family!

I can’t wait for school to begin! We will have fun learning many new things, singing songs, reading stories and making new friends along the way. I have been busy getting our classroom ready and I have a special seat just for you.

I will meet you on the first day of school - Wednesday, September 8th in room 120.

This will be a full day of school, beginning at 8:45 and ending at 3:15.

On the first full day of school, please bring a photographof you having fun this summer

so that we can share our stories with each other.

Here are a few other things you will need to bring on the first day of school:

*     Healthy snack

*     Towel for you to rest on

*     Lunch from home or money to buy lunch

*     Roomy backpack to hold all these things – no backpacks with wheels please

*Also, there are a few school supplies that the Kindergarten teachers are asking you to bring with you this year. (Parents - no need to purchase these if you have already ordered them from the PTO). All of these supplies will be added to our community supply trays that you will share with your friends at your table. You can bring these on the first day we meet!

*     3 boxes of 24 count Crayola crayons

*     2 boxes of Crayola markers (1 box fine tip – 1 box broad tip)

*     6 Large Glue sticks

*     1 paint box

*     1 Pack of Crayola colored pencils with erasers

*     1 pair of Fiskar scissors

                    I can’t wait to meet you! Enjoy the rest of your summer!

                                                    Sincerely,

                                        Your Kindergarten Teacher
