Week 2
**If you have not learned to tie your shoes yet, this will be a great time to give it a try. There are a couple of good Youtube videos to help you. I tried to link them, but it would not allow me. Ask an adult to help you find these videos if you need help. If you don't have shoes with laces, borrow a family member's shoe and put it under the leg of a chair to hold it still while you practice! Good luck! Don't give up, it takes a lot of practice! When you get it, send Mrs. Cantz and/or Miss Pfander a video- we would love to celebrate with you!

brainbreak- choose an activity from Fluency and fitness or have recess outside!
Spelling /ar/ words (Say them like a pirate "aaaaaarrrrrrr")
Read, Write or type spelling words 3 times each for this story. -(r-controlled vowel ar)-far, arm, yard, art, jar, bar, barn, bark, card, yarn
Play a free spelling city game. (these will be this lesson's spelling words)
Writing- Go on a nature walk to find signs of Spring. Use your senses along the way (smell, feel, see, hear-there probably isn't anything out there that your can taste!) Write about all of your observations! Draw a picture to match your words! If possible, take a picture of your work and share your story with Mrs. Cantz and/or Miss Pfander! We would love to read your stories!!

Feel free to read any book! If you can not get on Epic, find a "just right" book that you can read, and read it to someone in your home. Discuss characters, setting, plot for fiction books; discuss facts that you learned for nonfiction books.

Compare and contrast Frog and Toad using a venn diagram.
