In reading this week, the students will read continue you to read and complete activities for the story A Fine Fine School by Sharon Creech.  Mr. Keene, the principal, likes his staff, students, and school so much that he decides to have school everyday, even through the summer.  Tillie has to go to Mr. Keene and tell him that it's too much school and kids learn things at home also.  Mr. Keene thinks about it and decides to go back to a Monday through Friday schedule.  The target skill is story structure.  The students will be able to name the characters, setting, problem, and solution.  The target strategy is summarizing.  The students will be able to tell the important parts of the story in their own words.
