I am a graduate of Louisiana State University, and I have a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice; Security and Administration. Teaching the Criminal Justice System and the role it plays in our society is one of my passions.  As an instructor, I will combine my vast knowledge of the Criminal Justice System with my real life experiences as a LPSO (Reserve) Deputy & Correctional Officer at the Louisiana State Peniteniary at Angola.  It is my goal to inform, educate, and inspire my students to become leaders within their communities and to seek leadership roles as employees in the Criminal Justice System.

Criminal Justice is a fun and exciting course that is intended to prepare you for a challenging and rewarding career in the Criminal Justice System.

The Criminal Justice 2 course will provide:
- An introduction to the American Criminal Justice System

- An introduction to the Department of Corrections

- A look into American Policing and Practices

Course Credit:

• Students who are dually enrolled, upon successful completion of the coursework, may earn up to 6 hours of credit through Northshore Technical Community College.

Things to consider before taking this course:

- This course covers adult content and requires maturity.
- Requirements for this course are rigorous, meeting college standards.
- Topics include very detailed discussions about prison life, including the social roles accepted by prisoners, which may be graphic in nature.
- Parental permission signatures acknowledging the content and nature of the course are required.
