In my Spanish classes, I encourage individual potential, while I seek for the
students to enjoy learning and feel proud of overcoming challenges. I aim
to see their achievements , while I respect their different interests
and ways of learning. When the students learn a foreign language it involves
perseverance, and lots of practice, and develops a whole set of mental, social,
and cultural skills.
Therefore any future languages one learns will be much easier to master.
In fact, once the students know Spanish, other languages in the Romance
language family such as Italian, French, Portuguese, or even ancient Latin,
will almost seem like "cousins" to the Spanish the students have already learned.
However, what many people don't realize is that learning a foreign language,
although intimidating at times, opens many doors to meeting new and exciting people,
learning about places and cultures and much more these days including expanding
your work experiences.
