Welcome to the English Department!

Our school district's English Language Arts teachers provide students with opportunities to develop literacy skills to read, write, listen, and communicate effectively.  The professionals in this department also expose their students to a variety of literature, informational texts, writing tasks, and other related opportunities to express themselves and foster a love of learning.   Additionally, our teachers help prepare our students for college and the 21st-century marketplace.

Reading for a purpose helps students develop the stamina needed to grapple with difficult texts in all content areas.  Reading is essential for success in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, etc.  Please encourage your child to read every day.
