Welcome! My name is Mrs. Hennelly and I will be your child’s Kindergarten Teacher this year. I am thrilled to meet your children and begin our year together! I am here to make the transition as easy as possible for you and your child, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have. Here are some FAQ's that you may already be wondering:
-
Family Walkthroughs for parents and students will take place on Wednesday, August 27th from 2:30-3:30. Please feel free to stop in to meet the teacher and see the classroom! Your child will also receive a small "gift" from me at this time to help with any first day jitters they may have. This is a great opportunity for your child to get acquainted with their new classroom and become more comfortable before their first day. Please feel free to bring any of your childs school supplies with you on this day to limit the amount they have to bring on the first day of school. Due to our limited time on this day, interactions will be short. If you have any questions or would like to speak further, please feel free to reach out to me via email:
-
Please provide your child with a full set of clothes (shirt, pants, underwear, and socks) in a large ziploc bag labeled with your child's name. This set of clothes will stay in school in case of any accidents.
- Please be sure to check your child's parent-teacher communication folder each evening (this will be given to you). Folders should be emptied each night and completed work should be kept at home. Please return any important documents that require your signature the following school day. This folder will come to and from school each day.
- Lunch will be available to purchase everyday. A lunch form will be sent home each Friday for the following week with a menu attached. Please complete the lunch form for the entire week with each day that your child is ordering with the following information: your childs name, what they would like to order that day, and if they are allowed to buy an adiditonal snack or not (this will make sense once I send home the first form). Please return this form in your childs folder every Monday.
- If there is anything you feel I should know about your child before the school year begins, please feel free to email me before then.
If there is anything I missed, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!
