Dear Parents & Guardians,
Welcome! My name is Mrs. Hennelly and I will be your child’s Kindergarten Teacher this year. I am thrilled to meet your children and begin our year together! I am here to make the transition as easy as possible for you and your child, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have. Here are answers to some questions you may have:
-
Open House for parents and children will take place on Wednesday, August 28th from 2:30-3:15. Please feel free to stop in to meet the teacher and see the classroom! Your child will also receive a “kindergarten ready” present! This is a great opportunity for your child to get acquainted with their new classroom and become more comfortable before their first day. Due to our limited time on this day, interactions will be short. If you have any questions or would like to speak further, please feel free to reach out to me via email: [email protected]
-
School supplies can be brought on the first day of school in your child’s backpack. Everything should be labeled with your child’s name. Please empty all crayons, glue sticks, scissors, etc. in your child’s pencil box. This is greatly appreciated as it makes the unpacking process move a bit faster on the first day!
-
Please provide your child with a full set of clothes (shirt, pants, underwear, and socks) in a large ziploc bag labeled with your child's name. This set of clothes will stay in school in case of any accidents.
- Please be sure to check your child's parent-teacher communication folder each evening. Folders should be emptied each night and completed work should be kept at home. Please return any important documents that require your signature the following school day. This folder will come to and from school each day.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
Mrs. Hennelly
