Welcome back artists! I’m looking forward to seeing your smiling faces! This year, we will be learning about oodles and doodles of artists and different art movements. You will be able to identify the elements of art and principles of design, and will understand how to weave these into your masterpieces. We will have fun dabbling in different mediums, some of which you have never worked with before. I hope to instill a love of art within you! I hope to open your eyes to art experiences that can not only be found in our everyday lives but also in the most unexpected places if we take the time to look for it.


Parents: During the school year, students will be working with a variety of mediums. Most are washable, however some can be quite messy. Please send your child in with a smock so they can embrace the creative process. 



Student Projects: Some lessons will be completed within a class period, others may take longer to complete. Your child’s masterpieces often times are displayed in the classroom, hallway or bulletin boards, but I promise they will make their way home.
