Bullpup Parents, Guardians, & Scholars

I am Ms. Victoria McGhee. I am a native of Baton Rouge, LA, 2x graduate of The Southern Univeristy A& M College, where I was a part of the Southern University Cheer Squad for my full tenure in college. I have been in this teaching profession for 13 years. I am estatic about my new journey at #TheJrHigh. This will be my 2nd year teaching here at Carroll Junior High instructing 7th Grade Mathematics also, serving as the Head Cheer Coach of the Bullpup Cheerleaders. This will be an AWESOME year for the PUPS!

It is my goal each year that my students grow and master the Louisiana State Standards for Mathematics. This year will be no different. In my classroom, students are expected to persevere, make connections, work collaboratively, and think critically when solving problems. I set high expectations for every student and facilitate a learning environment that encourages independent thinking and collective learning. Students are exposed to multiple strategies in problem solving. It is their decision to use the tools given to find the solution.

I request that Parents/Guardians partner with me to increase student learning. To foster this partnership, communication is key. Communication regarding assignments or classroom information will be sent via the Remind App. Together we can make this a GREAT school year.

At Carroll Junior High School, the health and safety of every scholar is important to us. We also want to ensure that every student continues to learn and grow during this time.

Educationally Yours,

Victoria A. McGhee
