Hello! Welcome to my prek classroom!
My name is Heather Meehan and I am a preschool teacher at Quinton Township School. I am newer to Quinton School (I came here in March 2021), but I am definitely not new to preschool or early childhood education. This my ninth year as a teacher, and I was an instructional aide in preschool for many years prior to becoming a teacher, equaling over ten years in early childhood education. I hold teaching certificates in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I attended Wiliminton University for my bachelors and completed masters level courses at Montclair State University.
I love teaching preschool and working with a mixed age group of students! I love being students' first glimps and experience in their school years, and all of the amazing growth my students make each year from September to June. In my classroom I liek to create a family where everyone works together, feels welcomed, and feels comfortable to learn, grow, and make mistakes.
I am so excited to have your child in my classroom, and I can't wait to see them grow and learn. I will primarily connect and communicate with parents via SeeSaw, so please connect to my class there using the information send home with your child. If you ever have any comments, questions please do not ever hesitate to contact me. No information is ever to much and no question is ever silly when it comes to your children.
