Dear Families,

We are so happy to share this year with your child! Our goal this year is to create a warm, fun, environment where every child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn. We use the HighScope Curriculum, a research-based educational approach that emphasizes "active participatory learning." Active learning means students have direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, events, and ideas. You are invited to visit https://highscope.org/ and https://highscope.org/cor-advantage/ to learn more about the HighScope philosophy.

We will use https://app.seesaw.me as our online platform to create, reflect, share, and collaborate.

  • You may send in a small blanket and small travel-sized pillow for rest time, but it must fit in your child’s classroom cubby.

    • Back to School Night: I am excited to meet each of you on September 12, 2024. This will be a great opportunity to see the classroom, ask questions, and learn more about what the year will bring.

I believe in the importance of a strong partnership between home and school. You will receive regular updates about our classroom activities, special events, and your child's progress. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns; we are here to support your family in any way we can! I recently changed my name from Moira Harden to Moira Wright, so you may receive communications from me under either name for the time being. Anything you wish to share with me may be sent in your child’s folder, sent by email at [email protected], or sent to me on https://app.seesaw.me.

Looking forward to a wonderful year!
