This year in English Language Arts students will read a variety of texts. Students will interpret, analyze, evaluate and critique these texts to show their understanding of literature. Students will demonstrate their understanding through discussions, homework, essays, assessments, presentations and projects. Students will consider how these texts can relate to their own lives and personal experiences. Emphasis will be placed group collaboration, as well as independent reading and written responses to reading.
