Welcome to Mrs. Lang's Website!

This year 2020-2021, I will be teaching Special Education ELA, as well as Science and Social Studies with Mrs. Iacovelli.

In Science, content explored will be Energy, Weather and Erosion, Plant and Animal Systems, Senses and the Brain, Light and Sound, and Earth's Geographic Features. Students will work independently and collaboratively with others. Students will be required to read 2 nonfiction AR Science books of their choice each marking period in STEM related topics.

In Social Studies, content explored will be US government, and history of New Jersey.   Students will be required to read 1 nonfiction AR Social Studies book of their choice each marking period.

In ELA, students will be reuired to read AR daily.  They will be assigned individual reading AR goals to meet in each trimester.  Instruction will focus on reading informational text; reading fiction and nonfiction text;  finding details, drawing inferences; dtermining story theme, describing characters, setting, and/or events of story; determining meaning of words and phrases used in text; writing; speaking; and listening.
