Hello! Welcome to Ms. May's Science page!

Chemistry-

Students will learn concepts and applications of the different branches of chemistry (matter, atomic structure, chemical bonding, moles, solutions, acids and bases, and carbon compounds).  Laboratory investigations are central to science; therefore, students will be required to participate in labs and complete detailed lab reports.

An outline of the course is:

Unit 1: Measurements and Problem Solving

Unit 2: Matter

Unit 3: Atoms and the Periodic Table

Unit 4: Chemical Bonding and The Formation of Compounds

Unit 5: Moles, Reactions and Stoichiometry

Unit 6: States of Matter, Energy Changes, and LeChatelier’s Principle

Unit 7: Solutions and Acids and Bases

Unit 8: Carbon and Its Compounds

Biology II (H)-

(Biology II (H) will be taught as Anatomy and Physiology)

Human Anatomy and Physiology is a biology course for students interested in learning more about how the body worksThis course is an introduction to the terminology, anatomy, and physiology of the human body as it applies to everyday life.  This course is designed to introduce the student to the structures and functions of the human body, and to provide a basis for understanding how changes in structure and function can lead to injury and disease.

Schedule of Topics/Units Covered
